This place caused me a trip to a funeral. They said because I was in state, that I had a 100 miles limit. When I booked this car it said unlimited miles. I'd like you to reimburse me the money that I paid for insurance, and did not use

Car was clean and service at the counter was very good. Got a free upgrade to a larger car which was also appreciated.
Better instructions for where to catch the transfer bus from the airport to Ace rentals. GPS be provided in car, does not cost much and would be a great selling point

This was all arranged well. A minibus was sent to the airport to pick us up and take us to the car rental company. The pick up was seamless, as was the drop off. The staff helpful . We were then taken back to the airport via the minibus. The drivers were also very helpful and informative.
The only downside was the fact that it was very busy during the drop off period and we did have to wait for a while. However it was all done with alacrity when it was realised that our time to get to the airport was quite short.

Staff were friendly and helpful.
Pick up location was further away from airport than anticipated. Vehicle should have been cleaner - inside windscreen was very smeary and area between front seats had not been vacuumed properly. We had to clean the inside windscreen vigorously ourselves on arrival at our accommodation. Disappointing as the vehicle itself was good.

Car hire from Ace Rentals was a very positive expletive experience. As soon as we arrived at the airport we contacted them by phone and a shuttle to their depot was with us within ten minutes. A short shuttle ride with a friendly and informative driver. Completion of paperwork was simple and our car was ready for us. The car already had a few scratches on it, but mechanically fine. No problem on return regarding the cars condition. Return was simple and quick, and the shuttle returned us to the airport in plenty of time for our flight.
This really was a smooth transaction. No improvement needed.

We rented our car in Auckland and arranged to return it in Christchurch. We experienced a dead battery just before boarding the ferry at Wellington. We got a jump to get on the ferry. It worked at the other end but the ACE rental office at the Ferry Terminal gave us a different car, which we were very grateful for. The ACE representative was extremely helpful in the whole situation. We would definitely recommend ACE car rental for their good rates, service and availability. The scenery in New Zealand is amazing so you really need a car to get out and about.
