Hertz is an American car rental company with international locations in 145 countries worldwide. Hertz Germany has car hire offices at airports, train stations and in the cities. Check the opening hours of the offices, as they may differ per location. Rental car pickup and drop off outside operating hours has an additional charge of €29.50 to €46.50.

Drivers must be over 25 years and hold a driver's license for at least one year. Young drivers will need to pay a “Young Driver Surcharge”. When renting from Hertz Germany, you rental car will be provided with a full thank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank. A service fee will apply if the car is returned with a short amount of fuel. If you travel in Germany in winter, please notice that winter tires are mandatory. The cost for winter tires by Hertz Germany is €12.75 exclusive VAT per day. It's important to bear in mind that following car categories are not allowed to cross borders: SUV, Premium and Luxury.
