For Valencia get the tourist pass, it includes many attractions and transportation via metro and bus for free as well. You can get the higher tiered pass and visit Europe's biggest aquarium and many more at the science park. Would definitely go back. Valencia airport is not huge and it is very efficient. Check-in services are well organised and efficient. Security control is very efficient. There were a lot of flights when I was going out, but the security screening was well manned and efficient. On arrival at Valencia airport, it was raining and people had to walk to the terminal. A weather protected passageway is recommended. Otherwise, baggage reclaim was fast and efficient. Our baggage did not sustain any damage.

The purpose of our visit was to look at properties for sale and it was only for 9 days. We rented accommodation in the area we were searching so the mileage travelled was minimal.

When searching for Firefly rental whilst in the airport on google maps it suggested a 1 hour walk. Speak to the car hire companies inside the airport and they will be happy to direct you to the lower car park outside the airport where the rental companies are located only a few minutes walk away.

Have set destinations planned ahead, but don't do everything by schedule. Play it by ear on which destination you will go to first and then you may get attracted to something else along the way. Keep your mind open!

Valencia is a great place to visit. Valencia airport is not too big. So, everything is is easy access. Be careful when returning the car that you don’t go into the main car park. The signage to the rental parking area is not clear. The airport is fairly close to the city.

Valencia is a nice, small airport. This means that the range of food outlets is limited, but OK. Good communications, so we knew when and where we needed to be.

Valencia is a very small airport and getting from aircraft to terminal a short and quick journey. There is sometimes a wait for the baggage so if you can try to avoid putting anything in the hold and you can be out of the airport in less than half an hour of the plane landing. If hiring a car, the cheaper ones will not have a desk at the airport and will instead pick you up from outside departures. This is easiest reached by turning left once you come out of the customs area and walking until you reach the lifts. Take the lift one floor up, come out and turn left, then take the first exit doors on your left. Turn left out of those doors and walk past the smoking area. This is where the courtesy vans will collect you. Look out for the relevant van as there are quite a few different companies and often they will park very quickly in the road (as there is often nowhere to pull in).

In this time I was in Valencia just for one day, visiting a professional fair . That is the reason, I can not give many rips....exept one: if you have to give back your car early because of taking an morning flight, the best way is to book a room at a hotal like "Ibis budget " one, very close to the airport. Thay have a parking and also the petrol station is just next bilding. So you will not have to worry about your trip and will safe time to sleep a little bit more:-)
