Very small but nice airport. We were out of baggage in record time. It is quite a walk to the rental car area. Be prepared for that. This is ground loading airport. Can be a hustle if your bags are heavy. Not much food options. Eat before you come.

Take a Historic Walking Tour; I took the one from MacArthur Park to the Scottish Rite Temple on Wilshire Blvd. Visit one of the local Historic Catholic Missions in the area. The closest ones are San Fernando and San Gabriel. Drive out to Santa Monica and visit the Pier and have a Burger at 'My Father's Place' or Mexican food at 'Casablanca Restaurant'. Clamber up the giant 'rock pile' at Stoney Point Park in Chatsworth. Drive out and visit Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley. Experience the amazing Huntington Library & Grounds.

Once I arrived the checking process was very smooth. There were no lines and the employees were helpful and attentive. Once I brought the vehicle back it was fast I didn’t have to wait for someone to come and inspect the vehicle because Budget has people ready. Getting to the exact spot where Budget is was a bit confusing but again there are employees guiding you and how and where to go. The whole dropping off time was about 3 minutes, perfect timing

To return your car, use the south entrance to the airport (Empire Ave), not the main entrance on Hollywood Way (which requires that you drive through the terminals and slow traffic to get to the rental car area).

Plan your outfits (and leave room for some new clothes if you’re traveling for pleasure) to pack efficiently. Let the people who are receiving you know your flight information so they aren’t waiting on you if there is a delay. Bring your own entertainment for the flight.

Burbank is a very Friendly and convenient airport. you get off the plane, then you just walk outside to get your luggage, no waiting it was coming off the luggage belt when we got there. You then proceed to walk across the street to the next building to get your rental car. It was very quick and easy. When we returned to Burbank to leave to go home, going through security, I had souvenirs in my carry one, they noticed I had 2 bottles of Tri-tip seasoning, they were very nice and just asked me to open up the sealed container enough to pour a little out so they could check it? I did , it passed and since the other bottle was exactly the same they said it was ok, no need to open the other one. Very nice, not cold and nasty like other airports,

The rental car return is a relatively far walking distance away from the airport and only has the one entrance where you have to drive through the airport drop off to get there. I would drop the bags before returning the vehicle/

Keep your travel plan flexible and good things will come to you. Bring extra battery pack for your cell phone - you will also need more juice when you travel. Don't spend your precious time to look for plugs in airport - they don't work most of the time even if it's available. Ask the locals and they will give you better info then online reviews. Read parking meters carefully. Remember to drink water because you will be too busy touring and won't notice you are dehydrated.

Plan plenty of time for travel due to horrific rush-hour traffic. Stay somewhere close the night before your flight. Take public transport and Uber or Lyfft if you are staying downtown, otherwise, rent from Fox and get out of the area to enjoy southern CA! Small airport- security does not take long to get through unless it's a heavy travel day. See the ocean, you're in California! There are a lot better places to see if you are on vacation than Los Angeles. A Fox car rental is a great way to see them. Lots of local discounts are available on Group On and Living Social

Burbank Airport is great....we were actually the only people going through security (granted, it was 90 minutes before the flight), but it was a welcomed relief after Atlanta and San Francisco. Though we were pulled from the plane...air conditioning problems, presumably, all personnel were professional and maintained their composure.

It had been sometime since I'd flown into Burbanik and had no idea that the rental cars had been moved some distance away. Quite a distance as a matter of fact. There seemed to be no information if you needed assistance get there. Signage finding it and on the return needs to be larger and more prominent.

Visiting California: Ventura is a great overlooked old school beach town. Highly recommended. DrIve the Pacific Coast highway as much as possible. Drive on Sundays for less traffic. Generally: Get a brightly colored suitcase that is easily spotted on baggage claim. Frequent traveler programs like Global Entry in the US are highly worth it, you can save literally hours on some trips.

The walk to the rental car area is pretty far from the terminal. If you are in a time crunch, make sure you give yourself plenty of extra time to walk out to the rental car area. They have nice people mover escalators and the entire walk is covered and kept very clean. There are plenty of signs to direct you to your chosen rental car provider which is nice as it can get confusing as to where your particular rental car company front desk is. Overall, pleasant experience and very helpful staff.

Love this aiport Will never use LAX again Security is a breeze/short lines Friendly people. Plenty of food and drink areas and restrooms. Im not sure if i saw phone charging stations....i did not need one tho.
