Leave some extra time as security queues can take some time and there are multiple steps when heading to the US

For a quite small Caribbean Island, the airport is quite well developed. This reflects Aruba's position as a holiday island There are 2 teminal buildings, one for US travellers, and one for other international flights, though both are next door to each other. We flew into and out of the non-US terminal. Air conditioning & Free Wifi are available throughout the airport terminal buildings. Top tip: In the corner of the baggage reclaim hall in arrivals, there is a small duty free shop where you can pick a bottle of spirits up just before you leave the airport rather than buying from your departure point then carrying it on the plane.

When visiting Aruba, there are many musts. Baby beach near San Nicholas is an absolute wonder for all ages, it a huge enclosed lagoon lined with white sand beaches, beaming with tropical fish of all colors. Sea turtles are occasionally seen casually swimming along side you. The water is incredibly clear and even over the vastness, the water depth is relatively shallow (max. 10') at the sea entrance. After a day at Baby Beach, be sure to have dinner at Z robbers for fresh catch fish and shrimp located on the coast in San Nicholas the sunsets a phenomenal. With so many awesome hotel to stay at, the choice is difficult. But, our personal favorite is the Renaissance. Located in the heart of Oranjestad it's a close walk to many cafes for local flavors and shop for every discriminating taste. The best thing about the renaissance is their private island. It's paradise and access is free with you stay. At the opposite end of the island is the lighthouse and some of the most gorgeous waters and beaches the island has to offer. Since this portion of the island is elevated, you get awesome panoramic views across Aruba. My family have fell in love with Aruba over the past 22 years. We'll be back as soon as possible.
