Es Pujols great for the night and dinning. Shopping in Es Pujols goes until midnight. Don't miss Migjorn beach. One day you have to go to beach of Ses Illetes, arrive until 10:00am. Pilar de la Mola is a nice place to visit in a day of market and the lighthouse there. Es Calo is an alternative beach and fantastic if the wind blows from South. Great snolkling at Formentera (and bring some bread).

Lisbon itself is wonderful, many things to see and do. Travelling north of Lisbon to Silver Coast (Obidos) is also worth considering. Beautiful views, good food and friendly people. Golfers can enjoy interesting courses at very good prices. Weather Portugal is generally nice although the Atlantic wind can have a bite to it sometimes. Many Portuguese speak English or French, so communication is easy without being able to speak Portuguese.

The location of the rental agency is a short but confusing distance (for a new traveller) from the airport so be very aware of its location for the return of the vehicle.

If you´re coming from Madrid, pay attention to your luggage at the airport (in Madrid). I was robbed of my belongings (someone broke the locks of my luggage after it was dispatched at the Latam´s check-in. In Lisbon, do not fail to visit TimeOut, a place with lovely restaurants and snack-bars.

Best decision we made was purchasing the "Via Verde". Allows you to travel on the great highways easily and without having to deal with having money to pay at tolls. We would also highly recommend a GPS. We brought out own with us, but if you don't have one with Portugal maps on it, definitely get one with your rental car!
