Metropolis

London is the capital and largest city in the United Kingdom, as well as the political and cultural heart of the country. London is truly a cosmopolitan city and in the same breath as Paris, Tokyo and New York. The entire metropolitan region extends far out beyond the borders of London. Car rental in London is a good option to explore the city and its amazing surrounding areas. If you plan to rent a car in London, compare the rates from different suppliers of car hire London at holidaycars.com and book in advance.

Visit Westminster Abbey with car rental

Westminster Abbey is a Gothic style church in London. This is where the coronations and funerals of members of the British royal houses are held. In 1987 the building along with Westminster Palace and Saint Margaret's Church are designated as the UNESCO World Heritage sites. Car rental in London can easily take you there and there are lots of parking spaces in the area.

The Tower of London

The Tower of London is a building complex in London, located on the Thames. Over the centuries it has served as a fortress, royal palace, state prison, garrison, museum and armory. The Tower Bridge deprives its name from this complex. Hit the road with your rental car and visit this impressive complex.

Hyde Park

London is a green city and every neighborhood has a park. The most famous one is doubtlessly Hyde Park, where major events are held. Major attraction in the park is Speakers Corner where everyone can say what he wants. London also has a large number of squares, such as Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square are among the most famous.

Links drive

In the UK people drive on the left. If you are used to driving on the right home, it's better to test out your rental car when picking it up. The traffic in the city center can be hectic, but driving in the countryside is a pleasant experience.

Fish and chips

Car rental in London guarantees a relaxing trip. The English pub outside London is also well represented. But your London experience won't be complete without trying fish and chips, black pudding, pie and bangers & mash. Car rental in London is a pleasant and comfortable way to get acquainted with the city and its countryside.

Leave plenty of travel time regardless of transport type. There is plenty to see and do - historic to modern and see at least one show! Wicked is a favourite but wanting to see Mathilda in the future. Covent garden has special charm but great fish and chips out of newspaper too. Take an umbrella just in case!

Book in to The Sky Garden - its free and its stunning, (Monument tube). Make a reservation at Las Iguanas restaurant on the South Bank. Reasonable prices for London and great atmosphere. Walk from Oxford Circus to Marble Arch. Go to the new Lego store then go to the top floor of Marks and Spencer at Marble Arch and have a giant hot chocolate in the restaurant! Love it!

Don't drive into central London. Our car from Easirent was perfect for visiting lots of places, friends and family in towns around London and was much cheaper and more convenient than public transport which in UK is very expensive.
