No travel tips, you have to find out yourself. When you look for sunshine only, don't go to Medano, where it is very windy all year round: makes it an ideal place for wind- and kite surfing, though.

I'm afraid we had lot's of good intentions but in 9 days we did not get to see much of this beautiful island even though we had the car. We stayed at the Cordial Golf Plaza Apartment Complex close to the Airport - excellent accommodation as we wished to steer clear of the busy areas. We will definitely get back to do more of the touristy things. Food and alcohol were excellent value.

Great place for hicking, diving, sailing or just relaxing on the beach.

Have a thorough look on the maps and destination guides in advance. The island is almost too popular, and thus many things that require adcanve booking are often not available for the last minute tourist. Also, as there are continuous roadworks, try to find info about them in advance as the signposting does not necessarily follow the road closures etc. and that might not be updated on the navigators (and most certainly is not on the printed maps).

The south is wonderful. Excellent beaches and good hotels. Many cafés and restaurants to go to and the service is very good.
