Katowice International Airport (IATA: KTW, ICAO: EPKT), also known as Katowice Pyrzowice Airport, is an international airport located in Pyrzowice, 30 kilometers north of center of Katowice, Poland. It is the principal airport serving the city of Katowice and the region of Silesia. Its nearest airports are Czestochowa Airport (CZW) of Czestochowa and J. Paul II Balice International Airport (KRK)of Krakow. Handling more than 2 million passengers a year and conducting over 20 international and domestic flights daily, it is by far the largest airport in Silesia.
