Tips and experiences for Dortmund airport

Our customers rated Dortmund airport with an average of 8.4 based on 5 ratings, and these are the most recent tips, experiences and highlights.

Counter was right at the arrivals exit. The car pick-up was the fastest I've seen by a car rental company. The employee who took me to the car even gave some useful tips on what fuel to use for refill. The car itself was perfect and even a bit better than what I have booked (automatic transmission instead of manual). The drop-off was very smooth and fast. Perfect experience!
In General the airport is well organized, not to crowded. Everything has good visibility. Suggestions, For sure some more restaurants as there is only one which makes you think if it is wise to eat there. The choice is very poor and the quality of service is poorer. There would be more people interested in flying to this airport but waiting time is also very important which means people would like to eat and dring, and not to be served as they are some annoying people that we have to give whatever.
Small and compact airport. Immigration took some time - no proper procedure if any more complex cases are to be handled. Otherwise not very busy, quite relaxed. Everything close to each other, short distances. Variety of services behind Security could be improved. This shortfall became specifically obvious as our flight left the airport with delay.
Actually I have traveled to Weisbaden to see a concert there. Of what we managed to see - wonderful mid-range German town, pleasant and calm, everything taken care of and in order. Over 20 mineral springs - ideal for rest and recreation. Close besides is the Rhein valley between Koblenz and Mainz/Weisbaden - one of the most beautiful and beloved places I have ever visited=
the zoo :)
