Nothing was good. Advantage car rental went out of business and I didn’t find that out until I got to Las Vegas so I had to get a rental car from National. I emailed Holiday cars when I got home and they are supposed to be giving me a refund of $126.
Let customers know when a car rental place goes out of business.

Only had one agent and was less than friendly. He seemed to hate his job and therefore didn't care much about us. Shuttle from the airport was a long wait.

Let me start by saying that I have been to Kauai lots of times and used many different rental companies for cars. This was my first time using Holiday Cars to book and I was delighted. We stayed for 17 days so I knew the rental car would be expensive. And not only that, it was Spring Break on the island and there is a serious shortage of cars there. Not only did I find a car, rather last minute, but they were they hundreds of dollars cheaper than the others I researched. They used Advantage which is a very upstanding company on the island and super nice and friendly when you get there. 5 Stars all the way around!

I had to return the car for a maintenance issue. The agent guessed that the tire was probably punctured. I exchanged for another car but not after some hesitance at the counter.
I was asked to pay more than was noted on my voucher. I was not able to resolve the difference at the counter.

The car was great and service was great once we got through the very long line. The cost was reasonable
More staff. I arrived in the evening to LAX expecting to have a whole evening to drive to where I was headed. I ended up spending over an hour in line waiting to be served on top of how long it already takes to check out. This meant my whole evening was spent at the rental agency and I was driving late into the night unexpectedly. There were 2-3 service agents on at one time and things seemed to move very very slowly.

Simplify the check in counter experience. I had paid and confirmed on line. It still took too long to get checked in.

The line to get our car was quick. Despite it being a busy time, all the employees were quick and efficient. They were very accommodating to us when we needed a different car than we had originally booked. Their gas program was also convenient , it was nice to be able to return the car on empty and not get over charged for it. The car was brand new and very clean. We have no complaints about the service received from advantage. We will use them again for sure!
