Tips and experiences for Long Beach airport

Our customers rated Long Beach airport with an average of 10.0 based on 6 ratings, and these are the most recent tips, experiences and highlights.

1. Plan ahead! If you can't be sure that you will have cellular data it's helpful to have maps with routes and points of interest already saved or printed. 2. I always have snacks in my bag when I travel. It can save time and money when I'm out in an unfamiliar city. 3. Be flexible! You never know when weather, traffic, or new information might prompt you to change your plans.
This is by far the easiest airport to get in and out of. I traveled with my mom and Aunt who are both almost 80 years old. Having an airport that is small and yet efficient with such nice and helpful staff was a godsend to me. I will ALWAYS fly into Long Beach when going to Southern Cal.
We love Long Beach Airport because it is small. We have experienced friendly, helpful employees during all segments of going through airport protocol. There is not a lot of navigating to go through. Very good food, alcohol/wine, and snack venues to choose from. Boarding many of the planes are via directional-changing ramps, so be prepared to get a minimal amount of walking exercise. When landing, there are two directional options to retrieve luggage, but the corresponding airlines are clearly displayed. We can't wait to land and take off from Long Beach Airport again!
shop for value. shop for convience. plan ahead. be prepared with documentation.
Book as far in advance as possible. When you're not able to do that definitely be sure to check the individual website for carriers. I love sites like Kayak, Priceline or CheapOair but when I see what I'm looking for especially for an inexpensive flight I usually get better luck checking the airline carriers main site directly. Always try to travel comfortably. If you know you get cold easily or have sensitive joints pack an extra pair of socks and try to get an exit row seat for more leg room. Basically plan ahead. Last but not least if you absolutely must travel with children accept the reality that an airplane is an enclosed space. Therefore people can't just walk away from a crying or unruly child. Plan for this and be prepared for people to be annoyed however you can do your part as the parent or guardian by preparing the child for the flight and not allowing them to kick seats, run or crawl through the aisles and respect basic etiquette such as changing a baby in the restroom instead of at your seat next to a fellow passenger who didn't sign up for all that and neither did the travel attendants. All in all we should all do our best to be considerate of the next person, plan as best we can and enjoy ourselves.
